Instantiating contract without `manifest-path` fails
Created by: HCastano
I've uploaded a contract to my chain using cargo contract upload
. Now, when I try and
instantiate my contract using the following command:
ink on master [$] via 🦀 v1.62.0-nightly
❯ cargo contract instantiate \
--constructor new \
--args 2 5GrwvaEF5zXb26Fz9rcQpDWS57CtERHpNehXCPcNoHGKutQY \
--suri //Alice \
--code-hash 0x9034240647b9bdac1aefc49a3239dee028e97ce11909ab60729495f977784400
I get ERROR: Cannot infer the root project id
.
If I add the --manifest-path
with a path to my contract it seems to work. The manifest
path shouldn't be required since the contract has already been uploaded on chain.
I'm using cargo-contract
v1.0
.
